This is the second blanket in a series of six blankets titled "Animals of Yellowstone".  The blanket will be a limited edition of 1872, which is the year Yellowstone became a National Park.                                       
 
The iconic bison has been a fixture in Yellowstone Park for many years. This group of animals is the oldest and largest bison herd in the United States, numbering approximately five thousand.  Every year millions of people from all over the world travel to see these noble animals just as much as the geysers and hot springs that form America’s and the world’s first national park.
 
The upper portion of the blanket shows the Grand Prismatic Spring. This is the largest hot spring in the United States and third largest in the world.  The earth tone colors in the blanket reflect the myriad of colors found in Yellowstone. 
 
The Bison blanket is woven by Pendleton Woolen Mills exclusively for Jackson Hole Pendleton. 64 x 80 inches. Unnapped wool blanket with felt binding.  Dry clean only.
