We Think You Might Like Something From These Collections Though...

82 percent pure virgin wool/ 18 percent cotton. Woven in the USA by Pendleton Woolen Mills. Dry clean only. Napped; fabric is combed for a softer, thicker feel. Pure virgin wool/cotton with wool felt binding. Reversible for two different looks. Whipstitch binding.

The craft of overshot weaving came to America with Scottish immigrants, who migrated to milder climes in the south, like the tiny town of Seven Springs, North Carolina. A squared pattern pays tribute to the intricate patterns of traditional coverlets, hand-loomed on a white warp in the four-harness overshot method. Weavers grew their own flax and cotton, and raised sheep for wool which was hand-carded, spun, and colored with natural dyes. Today, their Appalachian artistry is preserved in museums.
