Grizzlies, Whiskey, Wine & Western Art: A Jackson Hole Collaboration with John B. Mortensen & Amy Ringholz

Grizzlies, Whiskey, Wine & Western Art: A Jackson Hole Collaboration with John B. Mortensen & Amy Ringholz

In the heart of Jackson Hole, where snow-tipped peaks meet open prairie, Jackson Hole Pendleton gathered friends, artists, and whiskey lovers for an unforgettable evening celebrating the spirit of the American West.

This special event brought together Wyoming Whiskey and legendary local sculptor John B. Mortensen — a meeting of craftsmanship, creativity, and conservation. With every pour and every thread, the night honored the stories that define our region: the enduring beauty of our landscapes, the wildness of our wildlife, and the artistry born from both.

A Legendary Evening in Jackson Hole

Inside our cozy downtown Jackson store, guests gathered for a Wyoming Whiskey tasting and an intimate artist showcase featuring John B. Mortensen (@johnbmortensen) — a world-renowned sculptor and beloved Jackson local.

John’s work captures the muscular grace and soulful character of the West, from rodeo riders to native wildlife. Seeing his art alongside Pendleton’s timeless designs felt like two heritages meeting on common ground — one carved in bronze, the other woven in wool.

It was an evening of shared stories, laughter, and admiration for the land and the people who make this place what it is.

The Rodeo Silk Scarf: Art You Can Wear

At the heart of the collaboration is the Rodeo Silk Scarf, designed in partnership with John B. Mortensen and available exclusively at Jackson Hole Pendleton.

This limited-edition piece blends the elegance of Pendleton’s design legacy with the kinetic energy of John’s Western art. The result is a wearable tribute to the rodeo spirit — its motion, color, and courage rendered in fine silk.

Each scarf carries the essence of Jackson Hole craftsmanship: bold, enduring, and deeply connected to place.

It’s All About Grizzlies! Artist Showcase & Tasting with Amy Ringholz and Jackson Hole Winery

What a night celebrating art, wine, and Wyoming’s wild heritage. Jackson Hole Pendleton hosted an unforgettable evening featuring artist Amy Ringholz and Jackson Hole Winery, bringing together a community passionate about protecting local wildlife.

Guests enjoyed an intimate artist showcase, fine wine from Jackson Hole Winery, and the shared mission of supporting the Jackson Hole Wildlife Foundation (@jhwildlifefoundation). A portion of the evening’s proceeds was donated to the foundation to further their work in wildlife protection and education.

We’re endlessly grateful to @ringholzstudios and @jacksonholewinery for sharing their art and generosity with our community.

Be sure to stop by Ringholz Studio just off the Town Square, and taste the 399 Red at the Jackson Hole Winery Tasting Room, located just around the corner from our shop.

Wyoming Whiskey: The Spirit of the West

No Western gathering is complete without a toast. Wyoming Whiskey, distilled in the heart of Kirby, Wyoming, represents the very best of American craft bourbon. Family-owned and operated, they’ve become a cornerstone of Western tradition — aging their spirits under wide Wyoming skies, where time and temperature do their slow, honest work.

Their commitment to preserving the spirit of the West mirrors our own mission: to honor heritage through craft and protect the land that inspires it.

Together, we raised a glass to community, collaboration, and conservation.

Honoring the Grizzlies of the Tetons

Every design we create is shaped by the land and life around us — and no creature symbolizes that wild heart more than Grizzly 399.

As the most distinguished and celebrated bear in our national parks, 399 has become a living emblem of strength, motherhood, and resilience. From the creation of the 399 Legacy Blanket to our continued support of local wildlife organizations, Jackson Hole Pendleton remains dedicated to protecting the wild heritage that inspires our work.

Our collaborations with Wyoming Wildlife Advocates, Wyoming Wildlife Foundation, and Save the Yellowstone Grizzly help fund projects focused on wildlife-vehicle collision mitigation and ecosystem protection across the Greater Yellowstone region.

Together, we’re weaving conservation into every thread.
